Gun sales have gone through the roof during the pandemic, but “stay at home” orders threatened to end the profit party for the merchants of death in America. That’s when the NRA stepped in and convinced governors to declare that gun stores were “essential services,” allowing them to stay open and to keep supplying terrified citizens with weapons that would make them feel invincible.
