Mike Papantonio: There was a revolving door that was taking place between DuPont and the EPA. DuPont had basically gained control of governmental decision.
In our opinion, the only voice that can cut through the negative stories is the voice of EPA.
The governmental agencies that should have been responsible, the EPA, those people were captured by DuPont. It’s called corporate capture.
Examiner: Consumer products sold under the Teflon brand are safe. Further to date, there are no human health effects known to be caused by PFOA. DuPont did, in fact, ask EPA to make those statements, correct?
Mike McCabe (EPA): That’s correct.
Mike Papantonio: So, all of a sudden, the EPA’s like, “Oh, yeah. We’ll do whatever you want us to do,” which is a complete scam, utter scam. It was very successful.
