Republicans in the Florida legislature decided earlier this week that they wouldn’t even consider legislation that could ban assault weapons in the state, but they did find the time to declare that pornography was a threat to the publics’ health. Rather than tackling issues that actually matter, Republicans in Florida want to show their hyper-religious base that they are going to talk about things that only a small handful of voters care about.
