In partnership with news media outlet AJ+, journalist Van Jones sat down to discuss America’s horrific mass incarceration situation, particularly the racial and economic factor of who gets punished and who gets away with the same crimes.

The main argument of Jones’ address is to remind the viewer that most Americans, whether they were caught or not, have committed a crime at some point or another.

“There’s somebody just like you who’s sitting in a prison cell.”
