In a nearly unprecedented move, a sitting president has made a campaign ad for a Democratic primary Senate candidate in Florida.
President Obama made and released a campaign ad, endorsing and advocating for Rep. Patrick Murphy for Florida Senate, despite the fact that another Democrat, Alan Grayson, is currently fighting for the same spot.
Political firebrand Grayson is apparently far too progressive and unpredictable for the Democratic establishment to handle, which is why they have gone all-in on trying to get Grayson’s Democratic opponent to the general election in November.
It’s a sad new low for the president who even has to acknowledge the “attacks” against Murphy in the half-assed campaign advertisement.
Is Murphy really in that much trouble?
With the way the Democratic establishment is functioning these days, their clear disdain for Grayson should make you wonder, “What is it about this man that has the business-as-usual Dems shaking in their boots?”
Obama wouldn’t waste his time if the establishment weren’t scared stiff of Grayson, and anyone who scares the establishment is a good guy in my book.
In a recent campaign email from Grayson, he gives his own view of the attacks being waged against his campaign, particularly focused on the fact that the Democratic party is currently using money given to the party for the use of defeating Republicans against him instead:
“You probably get the same nonsense e-mails from the Democratic Party as I do — touting nonexistent matching contributions, fake fundraising goals, feigned intimacy, faux indignation, etc. Until now, I could live with all that, because I always thought of the Democratic Party as a force for good. But now there is this whole new thing, this new Big Lie.
The dictators who have seized the machinery of the Democratic Party are raising money from Democrats and spending it to defeat a Democrat. Namely me.”
“Why me? Because I am unbought, unbossed, and unwilling to worship their Wall Street idols. Because my flock is The People — citizens who believe in democratic government free from special interests and corruption, where our leaders are chosen by us, not dictated by the Establishment.”
Murphy is probably the single least worthy Democrat to have ever received a blessing from the president. Once again, president Obama is letting us down.
