As the polls in the great state of New York slam shut, a few things are immediately clear:

1. polling is weird when you know results the moment the clock strikes zero, and,

2. Donald Trump is the winner of the big apple state.

Trump was projected the winner of the state immediately, currently sitting at a cozy 68 percent. That can shift some as results continue to roll in through the evening, but no matter what, Trump is the big winner tonight.

Bah humbug.
