For those who have welcomed and celebrated the newest edition to late-night in Samantha Bee’s “Full Frontal,” it is time to rejoice as TBS has ordered an additional 26 episodes of the biting political commentary show.
Bee was heralded as a welcome breath of air to the late-night lineup as the first woman to take the notable time slot. Since “The Daily Show” lost Jon Stewart last August, there has been a large gap in the place where comedy and political news intersect.
Bee’s success was marked by criticism from Fox News and notable media coverage. TBS’s quick renewal is a big thumbs up for Bee’s future and no doubt, she will be “Full Frontal”-ing for years to come.
This is a big win for Bee, but it is an even bigger win for the American public at large as this means that we will get to hear Bee’s brilliant take on the entire political race, all the way up to November.
