On Wednesday, Fox News host Shep Smith confronted a member of the GOP establishment over the mess they have created which led to Donald Trump. Doug Heye, a Republican strategist, claims that he has been railing against Trump since last summer, but Shep questioned why the party has not taken the leading candidate seriously before February.

Heye is one of many Republican party members who have strongly proclaimed that they will not be voting for Trump if he is made the nominee.

Smith criticized the lax attitude of the Republican party in recent years, allowing fringe extremists to take over. Smith particularly focused on Republican promise to repeal Obamacare, which he claims has made voters no longer trust the party.

“[Republican voters] don’t trust you anymore. Do you blame them? Were they children and you the parent? Wouldn’t the child run away at 16?”
