Well, that was fast. Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb will announce that he’s dropping out of the Democratic presidential race and will consider running as an Independent candidate.

Webb will hold a press conference later on Tuesday to further explain his future plans. His Independent bid will not be announced on Tuesday, but Webb is “expected to take some time after his announcement to talk with people from across the political spectrum before making a decision.”
