Pastor Kyle Adcock faces 29 counts of sexual abuse towards a minor at an Alabama church. Despite these charges, he was hired by the First Baptist Church in Bedford, Texas, reported RawStory.
Parents in North Texas are furious and confused as to why a known pederast would get hired at a local church. Adcock previously worked at the Woodward Avenue Baptist Church in Alabama when he was charged for sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl. Parents Julie Brooks and Jennifer Fawks are concerned about Adcock’s new employment at the Texas church.
“Kids trust ministers,” said Brooks. “And so if they are approached by someone that works in the church, you would trust them. You would have no reason not to.”
Although Adcock was never convicted of his crime, the parents say he should be cleared of the charges before working at a church again.
