Fox News CEO Roger Ailes hates Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, which is reason enough to understand why host and moderator Megyn Kelly zeroed in on the real estate mogul. If the hit job against Trump was to slow the candidate’s hype train, then unfortunately for the Democratic Party it seems to be working. Fox News types and the conservative blogosphere are beginning to dump Trump.

Conservative writer for RedState, Erick Erickson, “disinvited” Trump from attending a RedState gathering. Adding salt to the wound, Trump’s place with be taken by Kelly. It appears that Ailes’ alienation of Trump is taking shape. Erickson attributed Trump’s uninvitation to remarks he said on CNN.

Don Lemon interviewed Trump about the debate, and The Donald made more sexist comments about Kelly. “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes,” said Trump. “[There was] blood coming out of her wherever.” Stop, and use your imagination to think of what Trump stopped himself from truly saying. Trump really shot himself in the foot this time.

“His comment was inappropriate,” said Erickson. “It is unfortunate to have to disinvite him. But I just don’t want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal. It just was wrong.”
