Yesterday on Fox and Friends, hosts Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doucey made tasteless jokes about the incident in which Ray Rice knocked his then-fiancee unconscious in an Atlantic City casino elevator.
“I think the message is take the stairs,” Kilmeade joked.
“The message is, when you’re in an elevator, there’s a camera,” added Doucey.
After much-deserved criticism for the joke, this morning Kilmeade very briefly addressed the comments made the day before, assuring audiences that they were not making light of domestic violence, saying it “is a very serious issue to us.”
Neither Kilmeade or Doucey apologized for their previous comments during the 15 seconds they spend addressing them.
