The presidential candidacies of Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann have already proved one thing about the 2012 election – the religious right is going to once again play a massive role in electing Republicans. Both Perry and Bachmann have developed their worldviews based on the Re-Constructionist movement within the religious right, a movement that believes in a strict, literal interpretation of the Bible.
